Leverage is a St. Louis based company whose focus is creating immersive performance experiences with the goals of: building new audiences for dance; expanding access for artists to professional development and performance opportunities; and contributing to the health and vitality of the dance arts in the region.

MAKING DANCE LABS
Free interactive events that educate audiences about the choreographic process while allowing them to make choices that lead to development of new Leverage dance works.

SURPRISE DANCE presents works in public spaces and/or at community events not traditionally designed to accommodate dance. These free events, like flash mobs, take advantage of existing and captive audiences: people waiting in lines, walking to a destination, eating or shopping with a view of the performance. These performances are a way to reach new and diverse audiences, and to offer communities free access and exposure to professional dance.

LEVERAGED LEARNING
Ongoing Community & Educational Programming

Leverage Dance Theater has produced an extensive offering of educational programs that we refer to as Leveraged Learning. Composed primarily of arts-integrated dance programming, Leverage uses dance and creative movement to support traditional classroom learning.

Regional Emmy and Regional Addy Award Winner

We encourage people to view examples of our work from our Web site, especially "Quarantined," a dance film which received a 2021 Regional Emmy Award and 2020 Regional Addy Award. This film exemplifies, in many ways, the things that make Leverage a unique and valuable cultural institution.
