The Kerengende Foundation supports youth sexual abuse and human trafficking victims and their families with culturally-responsive services, resources, and education.
Our vision is to make our communities, youth, and familial support systems so strong that there will be a noticeable decrease in sexual offenses and human trafficking as youth stay aware of their safety and that of their peers.
The Kerengende Foundation was founded by Amber Clayborne in 2019 in response to the sexual abuse experienced by her daughter. The gaps in services and the prohibitive cost of therapeutic programs motivated her to create Kerengende Foundation to support youth and families in crisis.
In 2022, Kerengende Foundation recognized the need for holistic direct support for youth survivors of human trafficking and sexual abuse. To meet this need, we expanded to a comprehensive three-tiered programming approach providing: (1) Community Outreach, (2) Targeted Prevention and Education, and (3) Direct Support and Intervention.
This year, your generous donations will allow us to continue necessary programming like our annual Summer Camp for girls in the community, our Non-Offending Caregiver Groups and so much more!
