KHAOS Inc. (Keep Healing And Overcoming Struggles) is a St. Louis-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming mental health outcomes in urban communities impacted by toxic and traumatic stress. Founded by Dr. Candice E. Cox, a licensed clinical social worker and trauma specialist, KHAOS Inc. equips youth, families, and professionals with culturally responsive, trauma-informed tools to promote healing and resilience.
Through signature programs like Organized KHAOS, the organization offers psychoeducation, emotional regulation strategies, and mindfulness techniques tailored for youth aged 8–18. KHAOS Inc. also provides community workshops, workplace wellness training, and reentry support, all grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Relationship Trauma Repair (RTR).
With the belief that “mental wellness is D.O.P.E. (Done On Purpose Every day),” KHAOS Inc. is committed to creating a culture where healing is accessible and sustainable. By addressing systemic barriers and fostering emotional literacy, the organization empowers individuals to break cycles of trauma and build stronger, healthier communities.
