Enhancing the Community One Brush Stroke at a Time
The JACCK Foundation for the Arts is a community-driven nonprofit based in Florissant, Missouri, dedicated to making art accessible, therapeutic, and transformative for those who need it most. Rooted in the belief that “Art is Healing,” JACCK provides free and low-cost creative experiences to underserved seniors, veterans, youth, and families across the St. Louis region.
At the heart of our work is our signature outreach initiative, Art for the Shut-In, a program designed to bring meaningful artistic engagement directly to seniors ages 65+ and veterans—many of whom face isolation, mobility challenges, or limited access to creative outlets. Through guided painting sessions, participants experience improved emotional well-being, social connection, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Beyond outreach, JACCK operates a vibrant 7,000+ square foot community art space where creativity and connection come together daily. We offer a range of programs including:
Our unique model combines earned revenue—through bookings, retail, and events—with donor and grant support to ensure that we can continue offering free programming to those who need it most. Every ticket purchased, product sold, or donation made directly helps fund supplies, instruction, and outreach efforts in the community.
JACCK is more than an art center—it is a safe, welcoming space where individuals of all backgrounds can gather, heal, and grow through creativity. Whether it’s a senior rediscovering joy through painting, a veteran finding peace in artistic expression, or a child discovering their creative voice for the first time, the impact of our work is both immediate and lasting.
This Give STL Day, your support helps us remove barriers to art and expand access to healing experiences across our community. Together, we can continue transforming lives—one brushstroke at a time.
JACCK Foundation for the Arts operates a community-based creative arts studio that blends painting and music-based expression to improve mental wellness, confidence, and social connection. Through structured paint sessions and guided karaoke activities, we serve youth, seniors, veterans, and families—many of whom lack access to traditional arts education. Our space is designed to be welcoming, accessible, and adaptable, offering both free and low-cost programming supported by a sustainable earned-revenue model.
