The mission of Helping Strays is to rescue, shelter and rehabilitate homeless pets, find them loving homes, and promote responsible pet ownership. 

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays takes in strays, owner surrenders, and animals from the Monroe County Animal Control.  Helping Strays also works with other local rescue organizations, surrounding county animal controls, and out of state rescue groups to rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt over 1,000 animals annually while maintaining at 99% Save Rate.
