Salem Lutheran Church, located in Affton, Missouri, is a community of believers who share the love of Jesus. As part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, our worship services are a celebration of spiritual nourishment and a meaningful expression of our praise and thanks. Both in-person and virtually, we provide three church services each weekend, along with Bible Study and Sunday School opportunities for all ages. We offer classes throughout the week to encourage our members to grow in their faith, understand God's Word, and apply it to their life. All visitors are welcome and Salem offers classes that are tailored for those beginning their Christian faith and those who wish to nurture their faith life. With God's help, Salem Lutheran Church and School strive to meet the philosophy of our Christian Education through these objectives: Connecting to Christ, Growing in Grace, Seeking to Serve.

Every member is a minister of God's Word, telling the truth about God, supporting the work of the Kingdom, and sharing the story of Jesus so that people will come to a saving knowledge of Christ. In recognition of the astonishing gift of God's grace, we, in turn, respond generously and purposefully with our gifts of money, time, and talents. This enables the work of the church to continue in service and in outreach.

Salem Lutheran School has been serving the Affton Community for over 100 years. We provide early education for beginning at 2 years of age and continuing through 8th grade. We provide a quality Christ-centered education so that children can develop their God-given abilities to their fullest potential. Low teacher-to-student ratio (12:1) allows the students' individual needs to be met. The teachers are strong Christian role models and demonstrate an active faith life. We provide students the opportunity to share their gifts in many different sports, such as basketball, volleyball, track, and cross country. There are extracurricular groups such as the Academic Team, Safety Team, band, and Student Council. We utilize technology to support our curriculum and offer a variety of learning programs. Chromebooks are provided to each student in grades 4-8. Kindergarten through 3rd grade students each has 1:1 iPads. Preschool students have also have IPads available for use during the day. All homerooms have either a SmartBoard or a Smart TV. Salem Lutheran School is accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) commission.
