Green Beret Youth Initiative (GBYI) STL was founded honoring fallen Master Sergeant Micheal B. Riley, a US Army Green Beret. Mike´s belief was achievement is possible for everyone with a helping hand. His strong ties to St. Louis, his commitment to the community, continues to guide us today.

Our team of professionals in St. Louis consists of local educators, social workers, veterans, coaches and law enforcement officers, who are dedicated to serving their community. We believe that working with small teams of committed volunteers is vital to maintaining a trusting relationship between our program, the kids and their families - creating an ultimate impact in our communities through collaboration.

Our programs target children, adolescents, and young adults aged 11 - 17 years of diverse social and cultural background, with varying physical and cognitive conditions and educational levels.
We focus on physical and mental health with workouts, nutrition education and mentoring.
GBYI is partnering with local organizations e.g. SLACO and Haven of Grace,
we aim to create an ultimate impact in our communities.
