Our collaboration with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and Missouri State Parks was initiated in 2015 to preserve and restore the historic Camp Zoe Lodge. To date, we have successfully raised funds for the installation of a new roof and additional support structures which will maintain the building’s integrity... for now. Nevertheless, in order to complete the restoration work, recent estimates have been as high as $600,000, a daunting challenge for our small but dedicated group.
But here’s the GOOD NEWS. At our 2024 Reunion meeting at Echo Bluff State Park, we received a generous proposal from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources' Division of State Parks. They are offering to fund the remaining costs to complete the restoration if we can raise our portion of $150,000 by September 1, 2025. And, they have committed to begin that work in the Fall of 2025. We are more than 75% of the way there!
WITH OUR GOAL NOW CLEARLY IN SIGHT, WE HOPE YOU CAN FIND A WAY TO MAKE THE CAMP ZOE LODGE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN A GIVING PRIORITY THIS YEAR.
