Fork in the Road Foundation was born from a simple idea: that food brings people together, and every woman deserves the chance to thrive.

We see the incredible talents and resilience of immigrant and refugee women—many with deep culinary roots but few opportunities to share them.

We believe that sharing a meal is more than just nourishment—it’s a celebration of culture, identity, and connection. By offering culinary training, employment, and a welcoming space, we help refugee women turn their passion into purpose and self-sufficiency through culinary training.

Community suppers, catering events, and cooking classes are the vehicles we utilize to allow our chefs to introduce St. Louis to the rich flavors of global cuisine while building bridges between cultures. Each event is a chance to foster understanding, create lasting friendships, and support vulnerable women on their new path.

With every cookie sold, every dinner served, and every story shared, we work to create a more inclusive, compassionate community. We invite you to join us—whether by attending an event, ordering food, or simply sitting at our table.

Mission

Fork in the Road Foundation is a St. Louis-based nonprofit dedicated to the belief that every woman deserves the chance to thrive. We provide refugee and immigrant women with culinary training, dignified employment, and a community where they are seen, believed, and valued.

In light of shifting national policies and the end to refugee resettlement, Fork in the Road was founded to serve as a vital anchor for the women already in our community—ensuring that those who call St. Louis home have the long-term guidance and support they need to fully thrive.
