First Presbyterian Children's Center, in the heart of Downtown Kirkwood, has been providing loving, high quality childcare and early education to children ages 2 through 5 years since 1957. In honor of our 70 year anniversary, we would like to update our playground. We are a small center, and any amount we are able to raise would go toward installation of a new play structure, new playground surfacing, new storage cabinets, and a garden for our children. Help from the community is needed to make this possible.
First Presbyterian Children’s Center is a mission of the First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood. We strive to provide fun and learning in a safe and nurturing environment. Our families are valued for their commitment to their children. Our staff is valued for their unique talents and experience. Most importantly, our children are valued for their individuality and their creative spirit.
Our curriculum includes free and directed play activities, which foster all areas of child development: physical, social, emotional, and intellectual.
In addition to our daily classes, we offer students indoor and outdoor play areas, a bonus creativity space, field trips, Music and Movement, and a Nature on the Move program.
