FestAbility is a Disability Pride Celebration for everyBODY, founded in 2018 when a group of disabled advocates and allies came together to brainstorm the best way to celebrate and unify the community in the greater St. Louis area. Since the organization's inception in 2018, it has grown from an idea to an independent 501c3 organization that hosts a completely free annual festival and celebrates the disabled community through education, empowerment, and unity. Held every year at the Missouri History Museum, FestAbility has welcomed over 9,000 guests over four years of in-person events, bringing disabled and nondisabled community members together. Past celebrations have included:

  • Tony Award-winning actress Ali Stroker;
  • local DJ Rush Wilkerson;
  • award-winning Blind recording artist Lachi;
  • original, local theatre productions with That Uppity Theatre Company featuring actors with disabilities;
  • a fashion show featuring custom-made adaptive garments;
  • local resource tables & vendors;
  • disability pride parade;
  • local food trucks;
  • storytelling & book giveaways;
  • on-site wheelchair check-ups;
  • touch therapy dogs;
  • calming sensory space;
  • interactive inclusive drum circles, arts & crafts, yoga, interactive dance performances and MORE!

FestAbility cannot happen without community support. Give STL Day is the best way for the community to financially support this unique festival and keep this event free to all who wish to attend. We greatly appreciate your consideration of support on this important day for the St. Louis community.
