Fairview Heights is a small community in Southern Illinois. Our food pantry serves up to 150 families per month, hoping to help fill the gap between the time their money and food run out and the next pay day. The family sizes are anywhere from single person households to ten (10) or more people. We are staffed solely by volunteers, people in ours and neighboring communities who know the need to help where they can. We offer fresh foods such as milk, eggs, margarine, frozen meats and bread. We also offer dry cereals, both hot and cold, canned fruits and vegetables, pastas, canned meats and soups, etc. Pretty much, if it is in any family’s pantry, we have it and offer it to our clients. The Fairview Heights food pantry has no corporate nor business sponsors, though local entities help as they can. Every item we have to offer comes from either food or cash donations made by caring people who see an opportunity to help, however is possible.
