The Eleanor Grace Memorial Foundation is dedicated to providing housing and support for families with infants suffering from congenital heart disease (CHD) or fetal abnormalities at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Our mission is to ensure that parents can be by their child’s bedside as much as possible by offering them a home near the hospital - allowing them to rest, recharge and be the best parents they can be during such a critical time.

Exciting News! We have been gifted a property - a generous and transformative donation that marks a major milestone in our mission. Located on the The Hill, just blocks from our flagship Heart House, this property will soon become Heart Houses II & III. While the property is full of potential, it does need some love and care before it can welcome families. With thoughtful renovations, we’ll transform it into two warm, welcoming spaces that reflect the comfort and support families experience at our original Heart House.

Mission

Our mission is to provide a home-away-from home for families to rest and recharge so that they can focus on what truly matters: bonding with their babies, cherishing precious moments and making the most of their time together, especially in cases where the child’s life may be brief. For babies who are expected to survive, we believe that a parent’s presence plays a vital role in their recovery and long-term development. By easing the burden of housing and giving parents a place to rest themselves, our Heart Houses empower parents to actively participate in their child’s care, giving them the best possible start to a healthy future.
