Last year, you helped us raise over $10,000 to rehab the Iowa House!

This year, you're invited to HELP US FURNISH THE IOWA HOUSE!

We're planning on opening the house this Fall! Help us fill it with furniture and necessities that communicate dignity, safety, welcome, and warmth to everyone who steps through its doors.

Since that newsletter was sent out, even more progress has been made! The HVAC and Plumbing are almost completely finished being installed and the electrical will be starting SOON!

The Dutchtown Neighborhood of South St. Louis City... 

* is the most densely populated neighborhood of St. Louis City

* is made up of over 80% single-mother households

* has the highest proportion of youth, with over 25% of the population being 18 and under

* has a violent crimes rate over 200% higher than similar neighborhoods around the country

Dutchtown Outreach 

The vision of Dutchtown Outreach is to see the youth and families of Dutchtown grow from striving for survival to thriving with God, family, and community. 

This looks like everything from grocery runs to visits with principals, to providing rides to and from work or doctor's appointments, lunches with students, and middle school club nights. It also requires partnerships with other organizations in the neighborhood to impact the community effectively together. 

The Iowa House

The Iowa House is located at 4032 East Iowa Ave. It is being fully rehabbed so that it can open this Fall! It will be a safe space for safe relationships in this community that is so marred by violence and chaos. We will use it to host meals for families in the community, offer tutoring, counseling services, and hang-out opportunities for teens.
