CVA "Fosters healthy communities by building the capacity of nonprofit organizations."
What we do and how we do it: 3 distinct business models:
1. Service delivery model has developed into coaching, education, and mentoring in the St. Louis nonprofit sector. CVA delivers services in the following areas: Human Resources, Finance and Accounting, IT, Strategic Planning, Legal, Fund Development and Board Development.
2. Advanced training program, Nonprofit 360, 10 week sessions designed to empower nonprofit leadership in business acumen and operational support.
3. Coalition Building: CVA was founded on a collaborative model with trusted partners to deliver services and perform our educational programs, thus providing efficiency. We encourage our nonprofits to avoid duplication and embrace efficient methods.
Through donations we provide service scholarships to worthy nonprofits whose budget are so small that they cannot fully afford the needed services. Last year 3 service delivery scholarships and 7 advanced training (Nonprofit 360) scholarships were given.
