$7,000 Goal

Coahoma Orchards Research Institute has the goal to grow our inaugural operating budget to $50,000.00 We have a special interest in Just Transitions giving and building a relationship with dedicated and equitable funders/donors. Through our operational goal we can continue to impact public health, environmental pollutants and advocacy under the direction of our visionary land steward, Dail Chambers. Our organization has started a seed library as a solution to long term food access. We hold public gatherings to come up with participatory, action plans on environment, the arts and cultural tradition. We track our impact using itreetools, an app that gives direct data on the climate solutions of trees. We work with anchor institutions such as Contemporary Art Museum, Saint Louis, Lincoln University Extension, Missouri Botanical Garden, Missouri University Extension, Saint Louis Zoo, Sibyls Shrine, Women’s Earth Alliance, and Whyhunger (Midwest Cohort.)
