Today, St. Louis Black Pride provides over 5000 people services each year through its unique programming and targeted special events. We have partnered with HIV service organizations, nonprofits, and government entities to provide resources.
Black Pride St. Louis knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 1994, our Gay & Lesbian Organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Black Pride St. Louis.
For over 25 years, Black Pride St. Louis' mission has been to serve as a resource for the Saint Louis Metropolitan Black & Underserved LGBTQIA+ community, being a catalyst for unity, empowerment, and pride. We are dedicated to improving health and wellness opportunities, economic empowerment, and equal rights while promoting individual and collective work, responsibility, and self-determination.
