The communities served by the Affinia Healthcare Foundation face some of the highest rates of maternal and infant mortality, diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular disease, COVID-19 illness and fatalities, acute and chronic dental issues, opioid overdose deaths, and other negative health outcomes that disproportionally impact the vulnerable and under-resourced communities in St. Louis and surrounding areas. To address these needs, the Affinia Healthcare Foundation supports our community health center, Affinia Healthcare, providing exceptional care for the most vulnerable in our community since 1906.

Affinia Healthcare serves over 40,000 patients per year, of whom 94% have incomes below the poverty level, 70% are black, 13% Hispanic and over 4,000 are unhoused individuals. Affinia Healthcare provides comprehensive primary and preventive care in: pediatrics, adult medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, dental, behavioral health for children, teens and adults, optometry, pharmacy, lab, x-ray, WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Food and Nutrition Services) and other support services. Services are provided across 14 health center locations as well as mobile health services for children and teens.

Generous donations received through GIVE STL DAY support the Affinia Healthcare Foundation in addressing unmet healthcare needs through the strategic initiatives of Affinia Healthcare, serving those most vulnerable in our community through primary medical, dental and behavioral health care.
