Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation (2DEF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, strengthening, and empowering survivors affected by domestic violence and various socio-economic conditions. These conditions limit them from gaining and maintaining self-sufficiency which prevents them from being successful members of our community.
Pathways to Brightness is an all inclusive educational and awareness platform designed to empower individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Our mission is to shed light on the profound effects of domestic violence while providing comprehensive resources and support to facilitate the journey towards reclaiming self-sufficiency. Through a range of educational materials, workshops, and journaling, we aim to equip individuals of all ages with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to navigate the complexities of domestic violence and its impact on family dynamics. By fostering a supportive and compassionate environment, Pathways to Brightness endeavors to promote healing, resilience, and empowerment for survivors and their loved ones alike.
- Empowerment Certification is a 8-weeks of rigorous, hand-on approach that address the effects of domestic violence from a self-awareness approach. This session serves as our 4th session, with 18 participants currently enrolled.
- Real Men Don’t Hit is an interactive online curriculum geared to bring awareness from the male perspective. RMDH is currently in 4 school districts, and 5 schools currently serving over 200 boys.
Our purpose is to be a necessary resource to survivors; primarily focusing on those who have experienced the effects of domestic violence. We will accomplish this by aiding them to rebuild from the inside out and to reevaluate themselves. Through our program survivors can freely walk a journey of life, truly recovered, and be healed from domestic violence and other socioeconomic struggles. We are an organization that is committed to rebuilding the core of each survivor, while encouraging them to focus on their strengths and well-being. It is our hope that by providing various programs, services, and initiatives that we will inspire, uplift, and empower those we serve and the communities we serve in.
