Missouri Interfaith Power & Light

A nonprofit organization

Missouri Interfaith Power and Light engages, equips and educates Missouri faith communities to be stewards of God's creation by addressing climate change. We seek to promote energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy to protect the earth's ecosystems, safeguard public health, and ensure sufficient, sustainable energy for all. Missouri IPL illuminates global warming as a social justice concern; the poorest among us will be the ones most affected by the consequences of climate change. We connect and support Missouri's interfaith community, helping individuals and congregations with socially and environmentally conscious missions to meet their goals.

Mission

Missouri Interfaith Power and Light mobilizes our state's religious communities to have a visible, actively engaged role in addressing the environmental and social justice consequences of climate change. Every major faith tradition relates an ethical and moral framework for stewardship of the environment and the responsibility to care for the earth, and through educational and advocacy programs, we support congregations in their efforts to be strong caretakers of the environment.
