Men Standing Positive

In urban communities throughout the St. Louis region-including communities in eastern Illinois-there is a prevalence of violence, homelessness, poverty and addiction. Combine this with the fact that there are usually very limited resources available to men and women in these communities and it becomes difficult for individuals and families to break these cycles.

Through our Mentor Program, Men Standing Positive acts as a third-party filter to strategically place individuals into community assistance and programs. This Mentor process works to help people in every area: spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Since 2012, MSP achievements include:
-3,500+ people received Christ during street outreaches or at main events
-250+ people placed in church homes through MSP and community partners
-35+ people placed in community assistance programs
-200+ volunteers who gave their valuable time and skills
-14 main events: 2 block parties, 7 church conferences and 5 school venues
-36 MSP Street Outreaches: 21 standard outreaches, 13 Carry the Cross and 2 City Cleanup Days
-7 Evangelism Training Sessions
-5,000+ meals given to those in need from our food pantry through homeless outreach, main events, and other church and community organizations

We will continue our Mentor Program and expand to reach more people who want to make positive change in their lives.
