Bring Black Girls Do Stem to the Rainforest 2026
$275 Raised
Our mission is driven through our education, ecotour and granting programs. Friends of the Rainforest conducts local community outreach to raise awareness and creates curriculum for use by schools wishing to provide classes with conservation education and scientific research opportunities related to environmental preservation. Our ecotour program leads trips to the Forest where participants experience the beauty by staying at one of its field stations and learning about the rainforest through guided interpretive hikes. We also provide education and conservation grants to organizations who do work related to rainforest conservation.
This year, we are fundraising to send a group of 10 girls from Black Girls Do Stem back to the Children's Eternal Rainforest.. In the Summer of 2026, the girls will learn about Biodiversity and Peace with a research project connecting their passions to the land around them. Help us to inspire these 6th- 12th grade girls to think creatively and take action to protect their environment!
We are dedicated to educating and inspiring others to take action in protecting and preserving the Rainforest in Costa Rica and beyond.
