Our five programs include a Food Assistance Program, an organic Community Garden, Groupfit which is group fitness classes, Group Nutrition Seminars, and One on One, which entails individualized fitness and nutrition programs. Through these programs and the education they provide, The Fit and Food Connection is creating smiles for lower income individuals, getting them healthier and empowering them to take charge of their own health. Our organization is completely volunteer based. We pour our heart and soul into watching our team of volunteers, along with our Co-Directors Gabi and Joy, change lives for the better, every single day. Our impact is far reaching, and with increased funding we can reach more individuals with food and fitness equipment.
Food Assistance Program:
"The healthy food that you all deliver to me takes care of me, and I don't have to get a ride to get food." C. Evans

One on One Program:
"I am a double breast cancer survivor. I was crippled by chemotherapy and had to walk with a cane. The Fit and Food Connection team has changed my life. My cancer is gone, I have lost 16 pounds, and with my increased energy I can now walk to the bus stop and get around." F. Reed

"I have been attending Joy's group fitness classes for five years. I have lost over 40 pounds and have never been stronger. The Fit and Food Connection has given me the biggest smile and changed my life forever." L. Watson

Group Nutrition Seminars:
"I have attended three Fit and Food Connection seminars. I have learned how to food prep and read labels when I grocery shop. I have learned that small changes can yield big results. The snacks that they serve have taught me new recipes!" S. Harvey
