Equus Rescue - What We Do

Equus Rescue and Therapy is an all-volunteer organization that rescues abused and neglected horses in horrific conditions and kill pens on their way to slaughter. Not only do we rescue these horses, but we provide rehabilitation therapy to heal them so they may be able to trust and love again. We give them a second chance at life and a new future. Horses are prepared for new homes, and some are given the opportunity to help troubled humans.

Equus Angels - At-Risk Youth & Veterans

Equine Angels serves at-risk youth who are struggling with overcoming abuse, depression, anxiety, and other emotional and physical disabilities while they and our horses overcome their tragic pasts together.

We have also developed a program to honor and serve our returning military veterans as they integrate back into civilian life, overcoming their pain, and learning to live with PTSD. Known as equine-assisted therapy, horses and humans overcoming tragedy together is changing lives by improving coping mechanisms and a range of conditions when nothing else has worked. Our program is called Warriors HEAL...Horses Enlightenment Allows Learning.

Our organization continues to grow and thrive due to the generous donations from our supporters and the countless hours worked by our dedicated volunteers. We offer group events, host special events, and invite anyone who wants to help us help our horses and our community.
