From now until Tuesday, November 28th, Creative Reaction Lab is raising funds for our Young Leaders for Civic Change Program!

Young Leaders for Civic Change (YLCC) is a CRXLAB program empowering Black and Latino/a/x/e youth (26 and under) with skills to redesign unjust systems. Utilizing CRXLAB’s
Equity-Centered Community Design™ (ECCD) framework, YLCC teaches the fundamentals of ECCD™, preparing youth to address community-specific challenges.

ECCD™, a creative problem-solving process, integrates equity, humility-building, history, and healing practices. YLCC participants collaborate with community stakeholders, addressing power dynamics and co-creating transformative interventions for racial equity.

The relaunched 2023-24 YLCC cycle, designed for scalability, combines online learning and immersive experiences. It engages 80-120 youth nationally, focusing on St. Louis, offering accessible, free, and quarterly programs facilitated through an online learning community on the Mighty Networks platform. CRXLAB prioritizes culturally relevant content, fostering community building and meaningful connections.

That is why our mission is to educate, train, and challenge Black and Latino/a/x/e youth to become leaders designing healthy and racially equitable communities. We’re challenging the belief that only adults with titles (e.g. mayors, CEOs, etc.) have the power and authority to dismantle systemic racial and health inequities. In addition, we understand that historically-underinvested people cannot resdesign oppressive systems alone. Therefore, we are rallying an intergenerational movement of Redesigners for Justice.

Creative Reaction Lab’s Young Leaders for Civic Change equips young Black and Brown people (age 26 and under) across the nation with skills needed to redesign unjust systems, build inclusive communities, and advocate around social issues impacting their communities. Enjoy the YLCC summary from CRXLAB CEO, Founder, and President, Antionette Carroll, above.

Thanks so much for supporting Black and Latino/a/x/e youth leaders in their fight for racial equity!

Mission

Creative Reaction Lab’s mission is to educate, train, and challenge Black and Latina/ae/o/e/x youth to become leaders designing healthy and racially equitable communities. We’re challenging the belief that only adults with titles (e.g. mayors, CEOs, etc.) have the power and right to challenge racial and health inequities. However, we are conscious that it’s not just the work of the people that have been historically underinvested to dismantle oppressive systems. Therefore, we are rallying an intergenerational movement of Redesigners for Justice.
