Camp Kesem at Saint Louis University, a program of Kesem, is a student-lead nonprofit organization that plans and runs a week of free summer camp for children affected by a parent's cancer as well as providing them with year-round support. Camp Kesem is a place where children can connect with others who understand what they are going through, forging unique bonds with counselors and campers alike. Kesem is the Hebrew word for "magic," and at camp you see that Camp Kesem truly lives up to its name.

Mission

Camp Kesem at Saint Louis University is a chapter of Kesem, a nationwide organization supporting children through and beyond their parent's cancer. Camp Kesem at Saint Louis University runs a free summer camp for St. Louis area children affected by a parent's cancer. Kesem programs have a lasting impact on children by providing them a peer-support network that understands their unique needs, builds confidence and strengthens their communication skills.
