Burundi Miracle Project

A nonprofit organization

Mama Georgette, Burundi Miracle Project's founder, spent over a decade in St. Louis running a daycare for underprivileged children, and now she serves children and elderly who have been harmed by genocide, terror, disease, and malnutrition back in her native home, Burundi, Africa.

According to the 2024 World Population Review, Burundi is the poorest country in the world, with an annual per capita income of $220.

Since 2013, Mama Georgette and her daughter Sandra, in partnership with Burundi Miracle Project, support the most marginalized population groups in Burundi through their orphanage, food program, family care center, farms, and now their assisted living home for elderly.

It is difficult to imagine the human misery in Burundi, a small African country just south of Rwanda. Currently, there is an apparent gasoline shortage, limiting access to food and coal for millions. Without access to food in the markets or coal, the death toll among children and the elderly is climbing.

Over ninety-five percent of every dollar donated to BMP goes to support the amazing and sacrificial work of Mama Georgette and Sandra in Burundi. They have literally saved the life of thousands who have no voice, who have been forgotten by the rest of the world.

Mission

BMP'S ONE MEAL PROGRAM SAVES CHILDRENS' LIVES!

56% of Burundi's children are stunted in growth because of malnutrition. In response, BMP provides ONE MEAL for each day to children age 0-10. Without ONE MEAL, they will eat only 2-3 times each week. Children living in the slums and in the remote, rural areas are registered and food is distributed bi-monthly to these children and their families.

BMP supports the incredible work of St. Louisan Georgette Djona on behalf of these children.
