Big Bend Railroad Club, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Since the club's beginning, we have helped many other railroad clubs solve problems, featured in many magazines and newspapers, featured in a radio interview and several television broadcasts, sponsored six model railroad conventions, and participated in several local community events. With the limited outside help we have succeeded to make many improvements to our railroad depot and have compiled plans to make many more improvements, including having the outside of the building resemble what it did when it first opened for service. We continue to work closely with our neighborhood business district commission as well as the City of Webster Groves, and other railroad-related groups. Our Facebook followers represent over twenty countries, indicating the international reach we have which is a result of our eighty-two year history, all located at the same address.

Mission

Big Bend Railroad Club was formed in 1938 to bring together people with the same interests of building and operating model trains and sharing their time and skills to anyone interested. Incorporated as a benevolent non-profit corporation in 1950 and renewed as a 501(c)(3) charity in 2000 to enforce their intention to entertain and teach the public about model railroading, and also practicing safety around railroad facilities, and to help restore and preserve a railroad depot they purchased.
