Alton Symphony Orchestra provides an opportunity for local musicians of all ages and backgrounds to come together and "Make the Music Come Alive for All." We also provide scholarships for private lessons to local students in need and hold a yearly concerto competition to allow students the prestige to perform live with a symphony orchestra. Unfortunately, due the pandemic, we were unable to hold a 2020-2021 concert season, and have not met enough of our donation quota this year to move forward next season. Therefore we are reliant on community donations more than ever to continue to bring the arts to the Greater Alton and St. Louis areas
