Serendipity German Shepherd Dog Rescue

A nonprofit organization

Founded in 2004, Serendipity German Shepherd Dog Rescue (SGSDR) is an IRS 501c3 non-profit charitable corporation. We are licensed and governed by the State of Missouri's Department of Agriculture.

We are 100% volunteer-fueled and 100% donation-funded. Our board officers and members, as well as all group members, volunteer their time and efforts to our rescue without compensation. Our rescue does not have a shelter facility--our program dogs live with volunteer foster families who care for them until adoption.

We are proud members of St. Louis Metro's devoted dog rescue community--from all-breed to breed-specific. We work frequently with area rescues and shelters to make a difference in the lives of dogs and those who love and care for them.

Mission

Serendipity German Shepherd Dog Rescue (SGSDR) is an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue based in St. Louis, Missouri. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving permanent homes for abandoned and surrendered German Shepherd Dogs in Missouri and neighboring states.
