Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri

A nonprofit organization

Our agency is committed to the B4Stage4 philosophy, an approach to mental health grounded in the encouragement of early interventions and treatments.

Our PEACE (Preventing the Effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences) Program is an early intervention program designed to combat the impacts of early adversity in an effort to reduce the likelihood of children developing toxic stress, a root cause of mental health conditions. Through various therapeutic interventions, PEACE helps strengthen caregiver-child relationships, while also helping children learn to regulate their emotions and behaviors.

Our Student Wellness Program (SWP) is designed to enhance every young person’s learning and living by offering students, families, and schools’ insight, language, knowledge, and support in understanding the necessity of and need for mental health in a child’s education. To achieve this goal, SWP provides mental wellness screenings in partner schools, offers customized referrals to trusted mental health practitioners, and follow up case management for students and families.

Mission

Our dream is to build a thriving community and empower people by revitalizing our approach to mental health support...one life at a time.
