Jeremiah's Food Pantry

The Call, organized in 2004, is a non-profit 501 © 3 charitable organization licensed in Illinois and Missouri. We teach Christian morals, common courtesy and everyday rules for healthy living. Funds for our projects are provided through workshop tickets and private donations. It is our vision to educate the unlearned and give counsel to the confused. We provide training through our teaching as well as through invited guest speakers at our workshops. Our signature projects are:
"Cool Breeze" - Y2005
Utility Assistance - Y2021
We give aid in overdue utility bills in increments of $250 per application approval
Educational Scholarships - Y2005
We give $500 grants to first-year college students and $250 to second-year college students. We also provide Mini-Grants in the amount of $100 to $150 for 3rd and 4th-year students.
"Let There Be Light" at 210 North 69th and 201 North 75th - Y2006
In 2005, we entered into a 3-year contract with AmerenUE to purchase streetlights in a dimly lit neighborhood in East St. Louis, IL to deter crime and criminals.
Share the Wealth - Y2016
Applications are completed and turned in two times a year to receive funds ranging from $50 to $200, to open Savings Accounts, pay utility bills or rent.

Jeremiah's Food Pantry - Y2008
We serve over 125 clients a week. providing fresh produce, meats, and shelf-stable food items to all that come to the pantry. We also have community events that teach moral education and life training, introducing Banking, Money Management Training, free dental examination and cleaning. We also partnered with the Lion's Club to donate free vision exams and glasses to pantry goers.
All provided by the tireless efforts of awesome volunteers, where no one is paid. Not even the CEO.
