Dutchtown Main Streets

A nonprofit organization

Dutchtown Main Streets is a community-driven organization, led by a board of Dutchtown residents and business owners. The board is guided by the Dutchtown Committees consisting of residents and other stakeholders who focus on four key areas: Design, Economic Vitality, Promotion, and Organization. Dutchtown Main Streets works to create a vibrant, thriving Dutchtown for everyone.

Dutchtown Main Streets provides value value to the Dutchtown business community. We facilitate a strong local entrepreneurship ecosystem with smart design principles, community engagement, resource development, and promotion through unique storytelling and media. Our approach fosters a healthier business environment that aims to attract diverse ownership, promote places, spaces, and faces, and increase occupancy. Business and community are intertwined, and we create the necessary connections. To that end, Dutchtown Main Streets and DutchtownSTL are developing resources for Dutchtown businesses to help them succeed in our neighborhood.

With events like our summer Movie Nights, and efforts such as our block organizing program and fundraisers to reactivate Marquette Park, we aim to build a stronger community for our neighbors. We offer news and resources to residents via DutchtownSTL, and we regularly partner with other neighborhood organizations like the Dutchtown CID and Dutchtown South Community Corporation.

Mission

The mission of Dutchtown Main Streets is to promote a thriving community and shared prosperity by facilitating economic development and fostering opportunity in the Dutchtown neighborhood. Through this mission, we aim to attract diverse ownership, promote places, spaces, and faces, and increase occupancy.
