All the cool kids are donating

As most of you know I was locked up from 2017-2019. During that time, the jail I served time at, caused me to develop PTSD. It has taken years of rehabilitation, mental health care, and a complete rebuild of my life. I felt dehumanized, and stripped of every coping mechanism I developed to survive as a struggling woman in this world. This campaign means a lot to me, because of my person experience with ACD. Not only did they treat me like a human, they helped paved the way to this newfound voice of mine. 

Since leaving that h*ll hole, I made a promise to myself, and to those before me, that I would use my voice. To stand up for what is right, to advocate for those we lost, and to fight for the justice of each and every person negatively impacted by the harsh and corrupt system that is supposed to be about justice. Justice to me is bravery, courage, and the strength to stand up for what you believe in, even if you’re standing alone.
