The Cat Shelter

🐾 At The Cat Shelter, every cat who comes through our doors has a story. 

Some arrive sick or injured.
Some have been abandoned.
Some have survived things they never should have faced. 💔

Many come to us after being turned away elsewhere—because they need medical care, behavioral support, or simply more time.

Those are the cats we say yes to.

☀️ As we move into May, life gets harder for homeless cats.

More heat.
More fleas and ticks.
More kittens born outside with no protection.
More injuries.
More cats with nowhere to go.

Some will show up thirsty.
Some will show up sick.
Some will show up hurt.
Some will show up terrified.
Some will show up with no one.

They’re coming.

And what happens next depends on whether we’re ready.

🐈 Cats like these:

Fuji, who came to us as a kitten with a congenital heart defect and a painful eye condition. Today he is playful and full of joy—but his future depends on consistent, specialized care.

Mr. Dubose, abandoned and abused, arriving frightened and defensive. Healing for cats like him takes more than medicine. Day by day, he is learning that people can be safe again.

Samoa and Do-Si-Do, tiny kittens born outside and too young to survive alone. Because they had a safe place to grow, they are now living as pets instead of struggling to survive.

And Phil—who arrived after everything had already gone wrong. Hit by a car, severely injured, and later diagnosed with cancer, he continues to need ongoing care. And still, he leans in for affection, as if none of it has changed who he is.
