The St. Louis Children's Choirs

For 48 years, The St. Louis Children's Choirs (SLCC) have transformed young lives through musical excellence, character growth, and world-class performances. Young people gather regardless of social or economic background to rehearse and perform choral works by master composers, make lifelong friends, and develop as young professionals. SLCC is the official children’s choir of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Other partners include the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Bach Society, Ambassadors of Harmony, and the Des Lee Fine Arts Collaborative. SLCC has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the White House, and in 14 countries around the world. This season (2025–2026), SLCC enrolls 410 students ages 6 to 18 from over 125 different schools and 75 zip codes in Missouri and Illinois across six ensembles.

The 2025–2026 season marks SLCC’s 48th anniversary and Dr. Alyson Moore’s third season as Artistic Director. Dr. Moore’s dynamic vision for the Choirs has enabled continued programmatic expansion to COCA in University City and the campus of SIUE in Edwardsville, IL. In June 2025, the Choirs performed Dan Forrest’s “Jubilate Duo” at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Dr. Alyson Moore with over 100 student, alumni, and parent singers. Recent collaborations include Home Alone in Concert and Mozart’s Magic Flute with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, and Sounds of the Season with Ambassadors of Harmony.
