From our commercial kitchen in the St. Louis Promise Zone, Propel Kitchens prepares and delivers thousands of fresh, scratch-made meals each day to schools and community partners. These meals do more than meet basic needs—they improve health outcomes, support student learning, and ensure that children and families have reliable access to high-quality nutrition.
What sets Propel Kitchens apart is how those meals are made. Every contract we fulfill serves as training for individuals seeking a pathway to employment. Our culinary workforce development program offers paid, hands-on experience in a real production environment, complemented by industry-recognized certifications, life skills training, and job placement support. Participants—many of whom face barriers to employment—gain the skills, confidence, and stability needed to secure and sustain meaningful careers.
