HenRose Cares

Going to college or trade school is a life changing achievement, but for many students, the financial burden behind the scenes can feel overwhelming.

Founded in 2020, HenRose Cares is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to ensuring students from St. Louis, MO who are Pell grant eligible don't have to choose between their education and their basic needs. Through the power of community support, we provide direct assistance to help cover often overlooked expenses like textbooks, refrigerators, laptops, blankets, dorm essentials, toiletries, groceries, and emergency needs which allows students to focus on their studies, not their  struggles.

Our College Send Off and Student Support Program has allowed us to support over 350 students as they begin and continue their post secondary journeys. In 2026, we expanded that support by sending Spring Care Packages,  created to remind students, even mid year, that they are seen, supported, and not forgotten.

Because when students are supported, they don’t just get to college! They stay, succeed, and thrive! 

Funds raised through this campaign will directly support our 2026 College Send Off and help us continue supporting students beyond move in day by providing an additional Spring Care Package reminding scholars that their community has not forgotten about them
