For over 50 years, Vaughn Tenant Association has overseen the provision of high quality child care at the Elmer Hammond Child Development Center, currently located at 1920 Cass Avenue. The Elmer Hammond Center is a non-profit corporation constituted and organized under the laws of the Missouri and under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service. The Center provides quality child care to extremely low and moderate income children ages newborn to two (2) to twelve (12) years old from 6:30 a.m. to 5:4 5p.m., Monday through Friday. The center provides nutritional meals to students as well. We are community partners that promote mental and physical health life skills. We focus on the whole child and their family. We aspire to be a safe haven for children and their families. EHCDC families and staff have access to resources onsite and with community partners that reach beyond the classroom.
