Amazing Grace at Logan Place's (AGLP) goal is to decrease the rate of young ladies doing life on their own, struggling to know right from wrong and keep from making life changing mistakes, which is a major component of the wider issue of single mom's, poverty, etc. afflicting our community.
Our objective is to provide a safe place where young ladies can come and receive love and truth to help them thrive, decreasing the rate of lost young people and increasing the rate of viable young people to be an active role in our communities making a difference for future generations. AGLP is a organization that helps raise awareness of the issues young ladies are struggling with, connecting individuals, and sharing crucial resources to help lead these young ladies away from struggling to thriving.
A day in the life at AGLP…
• Doors open at 1:00pm
• Free Classes offered:
o Music (whatever instrument they would like to learn)
o Art
o Missions
o Bible Study
o Fitness
o Parenting
o Motherhood
o Gardening
o Cooking
o Budgeting
o Sewing
o Life Skills
o Healthy Eating
o Resume writing & how to dress for interviews
o Computer lab for homework
o Library for reading
• Free Dinner 5pm with the mentors
• Free Evening Sessions:
o Bible Study
o Fitness
o Movie Night (once a week)
o Doors close at 8:30pm
• Friday Evenings:
o Family concerts on the lawn (student worship teams from local churches take turns sharing their churches and their talents)
AGLP works tirelessly to make sure no young lady is left behind and is truly heard. We live in a world where everyone is so busy that when needs arise with our young people, a large number are falling through the cracks and they see no way out. Which is the reason for the high rates of suicide, depression, unwanted pregnancies, etc. Amazing Grace at Logan Place's vision is mentoring young ladies into wholeness. Older women come along side younger woman being present in their lives.
