After more than 30 years of inspiring students at The College School, beloved Third Grade teacher Matt Diller will retire at the end of this school year. Join us in honoring his extraordinary legacy by naming the corridor leading to the Third Grade classroom. This space reflects the curiosity, energy, and wonder he brought to generations of students.
If you try to describe Matt’s classroom, you quickly realize it was never just a classroom. It was a river built on blacktop. A city imagined into existence. A trail in the woods where a child quietly realized they were braver than they thought. Through experiences like River City, fossil hunts at LaBarque, and walks through neighborhoods like Cherokee Street, Matt helped students see themselves as part of a larger world, one where learning is active, connected, and alive. His influence extends far beyond his classroom, shaping both the physical spaces of our campus and the way generations of students understand and engage with the world around them.
As part of our Adventuring Together capital campaign, this effort celebrates Matt’s lasting impact on The College School. Gifts of all sizes will help ensure his legacy lives on by creating spaces where curiosity is sparked, confidence is built, and learning comes to life for generations to come.
At The College School, our mission is to empower and engage students in dynamic academics and outdoor education through thoughtful reflection and collaborative experiences.
