The Fourth City Sisters, Abbey of The Glittering Arch is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in St. Louis, Missouri dedicated to fostering joy, compassion, and connection within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and all interconnected allies. As 21st-century Queer Nuns, we bridge divides, challenge stigma, and help sustain charitable causes through vibrant public manifestation, peer support, and community outreach. We aim to expiate stigmatic guilt and bring joy to the greater community, while many of us also have personal causes and missions. Some of the missions of individual Sisters include HIV prevention and advocacy, assistance to 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, queer elderly care and protection, empowerment of the transgender and gender expansive peoples, dismantling systems of racial inequity and inequality, and many more. Our myriad of perspectives have blended together, allowing us to reach a greater understanding of the people around us and be of better benefit to each person we encounter.
