 Did you know? Nearly 7 out of 10 women facing breast cancer have never experienced a support group.

At Casting for Recovery Tri-State Heartland, we’re changing that - right here in our community.

 More Than a Retreat - A Path to Healing

Casting for Recovery is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being of women with breast cancer - all through no-cost retreats.

Founded in 1996, the program combines:

•  Fly fishing instruction
•  Medical oncology education
•  Emotional & peer support

And something even more powerful - connection.

The gentle, rhythmic motion of fly casting even mirrors the physical therapy exercises many women need after surgery or radiation, helping promote healing in both body and mind.

 Our Local Impact -  Tri-State Heartland

This year, our program will host a retreat for 14 incredible women in treatment or recovery from breast cancer.

Each retreat is a 2.5-day experience that includes:

• Lodging & meals
• Professional instruction
• Medical & psychosocial support
• A safe, supportive community

All at no cost to the women who need it most.

Because we are volunteer-run, every dollar raised goes directly to making this retreat possible.
