314Oasis is a collective effort in community care which emerged in response to the May 16, 2025 EF-3 tornado which tore through the heart of St. Louis. Beginning with 70 days of continuous service and evolving into a holistic approach to addressing the needs of displaced residents, the 314Oasis has been present to the unmet needs across the impact zone in North City.  This has included the creation of Recovery HUBs in Fountain Park and O'Fallon where basic needs and social care services are provided in an accessible open community setting.  Inspired by the legacy of Centennial Church and forging new paths to stability, 314Oasis has provided over 40,000 meals, completed nearly 300 days of service, and supported hundreds of individuals in their recovery.  With an ongoing commitment to the power of the people, we promote resilience through community first responder training, co-location of resources with community based efforts, and seek to create the foundation of readiness in the face of increasing severe weather events.

3 = Three Phases of Response: Crisis, Recovery, Resilience

1 = One Purpose: Presence

4 = Four Pillars of Resource: Rest, Power, Care and Connection

Our core programs include:

Oasis HUBs, with regular weekly access to meals, food, housing and utility support, self-care items, and social care.

The Neighborhood Representative program, activating impacted residents and helpers to provide relationship based care and connection to service.

Guaranteed Basic Business, engaging meal providers with a baseline of revenue to assure access to food in areas with radically reduced access to nutrition.

Community First Responder Training, a 5 class training that provides community members with the knowledge, skills, and tangible tools to respond to overdose, shootings, severe weather, emotional and psychological crisis, in a trauma responsive, healing centered manner.

Oasis Care, a individual level support to help navigate the numerous and often confusing programs available to tornado impacted residents. This includes many different services to support communication, transportation, emergency housing, rental and utility assistance, and access to basic medical care.

Somatic Care, a whole person approach to the resolution of trauma through gentle support of the body and senses, including aromatherapy, herbal medicine, massage and acupuncture.

On May 16, 2026 we will host Park2Park, a day of remembrance one year after, with events in both O'Fallon and Fountain Parks.

Our current focus includes a push to get folx who are yet still displaced by the storm into a more stable condition with safety, housing, and utility support.  We are working to increase engagement most of all in Oasis Care.  Through the summer of 2026 we will continue our HUB operations and complete two Community First Responder trainings.  In fall 2026 we anticipate shifting to a singular focus on Oasis Care and training, closing our HUBs, and working to assure that the region is better prepared for the next severe weather event, including solidification of relationships with partner organizations, a 314Oasis Field Book, and an established cohort of trained trainers in Community First Response.

We have received support from both the St. Louis City Office of Recovery and the James S. McDonnell Foundation to provide this service through the end of 2026.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM GIVESTL DAY WILL GO DIRECTLY TO IMPACTED RESIDENTS WITH NO ADMINISTRATIVE OVERHEAD COSTS.

We are seeking to raise funds to allow for more DIRECT support to impacted residents in need of home repairs and housing stabilization.  With so many struggling to qualify for programs, or lost in the trauma of living in damaged homes and disrupted lives, we seek low barrier support to assure individuals and families have the support they need to have hope again.
